Nikon is pleased to announce the Nikon 1 J3 and Nikon 1 S1, the latest models in our Nikon 1 series of advanced cameras with interchangeable lenses. Nikon 1 is expanding with these cameras, adding new features such as Slow View and Live Image Control as well as two new 1 NIKKOR lenses that will increase customers’ creative possibilities.
The Nikon 1 J3
Your customers enjoy the Nikon 1′s super-fast autofocus and it just got faster with the Nikon 1 J3′s ability to shoot at up to 15 fps with autofocus. Great low light image quality has been improved with a new 14.2 MP CMOS 1″ CX sensor, and now your customers can also capture Full HD 1080p video with stereo sound. This is combined with easy-to-use operation and unique styling, making the Nikon 1 J3 a perfect camera for those frustrated CDSC upgraders.
The Nikon 1 S1
The Nikon 1 S1 will provide an entry level, more affordable Nikon 1 camera that will attract a broader range of customers to the A-CIL market. With great image quality, high speed shooting, superb autofocus found in all Nikon 1 cameras, the new Nikon 1 S1 will bring new customers to your stores, looking for lenses and accessories as they grow with the Nikon 1 system.
With customers looking for instant sharing of great images, anytime, anyway and made easy, they will enjoy the Nikon 1 J3 and Nikon 1 S1′s compatibility with Nikon’s WU-1b Wireless Adapter (sold separately) for instant photo sharing to smartphones, tablets, laptops or other Wi-Fi ® enabled devices.
Two New 1 NIKKOR Lenses
Expanding the Nikon 1 system, two new 1 NIKKOR lenses added to the line-up offer more ways to capture great images: The 10x telephoto 1 NIKKOR 10-100mm f/4.0-5.6 VR that is only 2.7 inches in length, and the ultra-wide-angle 1 NIKKOR 6.7-13mm f/3.5-5.6 VR, all with superb NIKKOR optics your customers love.
New Waterproof Case
One new accessory will accompany this launch: a new Waterproof Case, compatible with both the Nikon 1 J3 and Nikon 1 S1, will allow customers to take all of the great benefits of the Nikon 1 J3 and Nikon 1 S1 underwater too.
